Eight famous writers from around the world meet in Ramallah to witness the Israeli/Palestinian conflict for themselves. This group, which includes no Palestinians nor any Israelis, offers a refreshing look at the decades-old conflict in the region. American Russel Banks, Chinese Bei Dao, Nigerian Wole Soyinka, Portugese José de Souse Saramango, South African Breyten Breytenbach, Spanish Juan Goytisolo, French Christian Salmon, and Italian Vincenzo Consolo share what they saw, and learned, with their own eyes, in their own voices.
